Feelings and Desires

by Ann Albers –

Allow yourselves to feel everything deeply for it is through your feelings that you touch upon your soul’s greatest truths. Your emotions are simply messages from the soul – honor them for their wisdom, then allow them to move through you as you move through life.

So many of you try to avoid your darker feelings and yet, they too point to your soul’s truth.

Beneath every angry feeling is a passionate desire to create more. Beneath every sadness and disappointment is a longing for sweetness. Beneath every jealousy there is a desire to know you are worthy of what you envy. Beneath every frustration is a soul’s desire to seek out a deeper and truer path. Dear ones, your darker spaces contain great light. Dig deep inside yourself and find it.

Within feelings of helplessness are the seeds of surrender. Within feelings of desolation you seek out your own very great light. Within feelings of loneliness, you search for God. When you are feeling your darker spaces, dig deep within and find the light of your own soul – these are the areas of deep growth.

When you find yourself in the throes of bliss, gratitude, love, passionate expression and deep joy by all means celebrate! Do not dim your light. These are the truths that your soul wishes to share with the world.

Allow yourselves to feel and feel deeply.

Do not let fear damn up the flow of grace that courses through you in these moments. Celebrate the good feelings and allow yourself to move through life unattached as to whether or not they will be here in the next moment, for the minute you introduce this fear of losing your joys, you are no longer in joy. Simply enjoy your joys dear ones, and share them. Joy is the native state of the soul.

Do not be afraid of your own hearts for within them you find the truth that God wishes to express in the world. Own who you are and how you feel in any given moment. If you are feeling the darker spaces, dig deep to find the light seeking to be expressed. If you are in the light-filled spaces, let yourself shine. Go deeper always into your own hearts.

You can always find greater love and a greater desire to both give and receive this love.

You are all so beautiful to us. Do not talk yourselves out of being who you are, feeling what you feel and expressing the very great desire for the love that your souls wish to share with and receive from the world. We love you so very much.

Intellect and Soul

by Julie Redstone –

Many people who have been closed are now opening to a deeper sense of life and of themselves. The rational left brain is pondering its own experience and the limitations of that experience and beginning to reach for something else.

Often, what slows down this process and makes it more laborious is the way in which the intellect has been used to protect the self from feeling or knowing certain deeper levels of awareness. This protection has worked well in many cases, since with a well-honed intellect one can operate very successfully in the world – at least outwardly.

And yet the intellect is not the soul.

Beneath the rational mind and the outer success is the awareness that something else is missing. Eventually, over time, a reaching for that something else takes place.

Help toward making the shift toward greater feeling, intuition, inspiration, and softness in general can be had by making efforts in the direction of acknowledging whatever fear may be present toward doing so.

Sometimes, the intellect has done such a good job disguising this fear that it is invisible to the conscious self. Nevertheless, the turning of the soul toward a deeper level of truth will produce the beginning changes that need to happen to open up a different level of awareness. The principle of “ask and it shall be given” is true here, for those who desire to know the truth of their deeper nature will find it.

Messages from Your Soul

by Heather Mullin

Have you ever sat with the fluid complexity of your thoughts and feelings, witnessing each one and accepting each one as it arises, and then watching it as it dissolves into the next moment and the next? Have you ever acknowledged what your mind and your heart are expressing in this moment and inquired into what they might be saying to you?

This is the simple practice I would like to recommend to you, as a way of coming home to yourself, in order to step boldly out into life in new authentic, joyful and creative ways.

Many of us move through our lives navigated by a series of unconscious thought and feeling belief patterns. These belief patterns often keep us stuck in a repetition of old behaviors that do not serve us any more. We hold these thoughts and feelings in our bodies, minds and spirits and live them out unquestioningly and unconsciously as if they were our ‘truth’. They are actually very often ‘truths’ that have been passed down to us by our parents and other significant adults in our lives, and the rules and norms of our culture, as well as our own childlike attempts to interpret our experiences as we were growing up.

An example of one of my own unconscious belief patterns that I’ve become conscious of recently in the form of a thought is this: relationships always eventually end, and I have no control over their ending. There is a kind of resigned sadness associated with this thought. I can see that this unconscious belief may be the result of spending my childhood moving from place to place. And so, as an adult, I have been through a series of monogamous relationships, have very few friends left from my childhood, and have often found the best friends I’ve made as an adult have been people who eventually move away. There is a temporal element to my relationships that might not be there had I not interpreted my experiences in such a way as a child.

How do we move beyond the unconscious belief patterns that limit us, and into the freedom of authentic, joyful, creative living? We do so by sitting and listening to the voices within us that speak these ‘truths’, hearing them, witnessing them, and accepting them as they arise and then letting them go as they dissolve into the next moment. In doing so, we become conscious of the belief patterns we carry, and our consciousness gives us the capacity to choose other thoughts and feelings that are more in tune with the here and now.

Each belief pattern that emerges is actually a message from your soul speaking its truth in profound ways when given the space to be heard. I have no control over the ending of relationships becomes a deep cry for the security of continuity and commitment in relationship, a desire for roots, for community, for belonging, as well as a need for me to become a more active force in my world – so that my will and my power are more present in the relationships I form – rather than simply allowing the flow of events to take over and guide my relational life.

As I become conscious of what it is my soul longs for, I am freed up from the compulsion to act out of my own sense of ‘lack’ and given the grace to begin to change each pattern as it arises. As I sit with myself, and hear the messages my soul brings me, my compassion grows and I can forgive myself every mistake in this journey of life. As I become more conscious of the patterns impressed upon my being from early childhood, I am freed up to risk choosing new ways of living out my ‘truths’. As I come home to myself in the space I give to hearing what my soul might be trying to say, I am empowered to act creatively and live more joyfully and authentically. As I begin to recognize my own unconscious drives and desires, I am inspired to look with greater compassion upon those I come into contact with. As I listen to the messages of my soul, I experience integration and in time become more whole.

Soulful Surrender

by Grace Ross –

For some the idea of surrender is a difficult one – it conjures up images of loss of control, giving authority over to someone else, forgoing pleasure, or even giving up responsibility for living a purposeful life. Surrender is a word we associate with the battlefield, of “crying Uncle” in a wrestling match, or of allowing a bully to take control.

The reality of soulful surrender, however, has little to do with these violent images. Soulful surrender is about entering a state of grace – of living in harmony and attunement with the qualities of our higher Self. It is one of recognizing where the human ego creates fears and limiting beliefs about who we are, and deciding nonetheless to speak and live from a deeper, at times mysterious, truth.

Certain beliefs tend to block our willingness to surrender on the soul level: We conjure up images of a divine puppeteer who decides our fate irrespective of our wishes; others maintain that it is unsafe to let go of ego-control; others assert that life events are the result of “chance, fate or coincidence”; and still others find it hard to conceive of the notion that we are all connected at a spiritual level.

In many ways it is not a surprise that we are afraid of losing our individual sense of control. We spend much of our life trying to build a strong sense of self. In fact, it is a necessary stage of our soul journey to develop a sense of confidence and self-esteem in relation to the world. The ego helps us to have influence, direction and control in a world that believes in the separated self.

The ego’s main illusion is that we are separate independent beings, both from each other and from Spirit. This belief supports the evolutionary idea of survival of the fittest and the need for hierarchy and power over others. For a time the more we accumulate and the more power we assume gives a sense of greater security.

The ego’s main purpose is to survive and it does so by nurturing attachments to possessions, personal beliefs and relationships. All loss (even the loss of an idea or belief) is seen as a threat to survival of the ego. From the ego’s perspective, competition and self-interest are absolutely necessary to maintain survival.

However, as one matures along a soul centred path we start to see that attachment to the individual ego’s needs creates increasing dissatisfaction. The satisfaction of accomplishment/power and material accumulation is at best temporary – there is a continual threat of someone else’s ego who also wants to accomplish, have power or accumulate possessions. There is no end to this fear, both on a personal and societal level. The idea of surrender to a less conscious, soulful part of us stirs up these very fears while at the same time offering a new paradigm of being that by passes all these fears.

The promise of soulful surrender makes available gifts that allow for the fullest expression of who we are as spirit beings in a human body. Surrender means living in attunement with a divine Source and the opportunity to co-create and live out the qualities of Spirit that channel through us.

Surrender nurtures a sense of harmony and connection to others. We find that discernment, wisdom and deep knowing begin to replace judgement and criticism. Fear itself is replaced by deep, abiding faith that everything is proceeding according to Divine plan. A natural compassion and deep willingness to alleviate suffering replaces the need for power and striving. Competition is replaced by cooperation, fair play and forgiveness. There is a new sense of knowing your own truth and an ability to express your truth without fear. As you give up the illusion of separateness, you develop deeper emotional intimacy in the awareness of the unity of all beings and a new and deep sense of belonging. A sense of contentment with what is and living in the Now replaces fear for the future.

Stepping Into Soul

meditation Pictures, Images and Photos

by Judith Pennington –

I have noticed the presence of much higher spiritual energies in my life and in the Earth. The quantum field hums with these high-frequency pitches, which sound like crickets, at first, and during meditation expand into the roaring sound of a waterfall.

It is a beautiful sound to me. Sufi and Hindu mystics, as well as Buddhist monks, retreat to woods and caves to hear this “music of life,” as they call it. The Jewish Essenes and early Christian Gnostics described it as the “involution” of the Holy Spirit. I know it as the love that carries me into joy and oneness with All That Is. It opens my heart and mind, expands me into the Greater Love and sets me back down in a world filled with greater light for my journey.

I thought the explanation for these higher energies was simply the benevolent nature of life: that higher energies were appearing during catastrophic earth changes to alleviate pain and suffering. While this is undoubtedly true, my still, small voice says there’s an added dimension: We can access these higher energies at any time. Literally stepping into the soul-self relieves physical pain and fatigue; and in the same breath inspires the body-mind with vibrant energy, creative ideas and higher direction.

If you are experiencing the quandary of many compassionate people—outputting so much energy that it’s beginning to drain you—here’s how to tap into a bottomless well and an endless river of healing. This exercise will fill any empty cup with energy, wisdom and light. Use this terrific technique as needed!

Restorative Healing Technique

1. When your heart stalls and your body stalls, too, find a quiet place and go within, gently falling or floating deeper and deeper into the peace of your heart. Call to your soul self and say, “I submerge myself in you.”

2. Now take the thought of surrender into your heart and hold it close, seeing your egoic self merge into the light of your greater self. Say firmly, “It is done.”

3. See your higher self accomplishing your work in creative joy and light and allow it to guide you forward.

Restoring yourself does not take much time. What you will feel and see, create and make come true is true and takes place in material reality. Neither the brain nor the soul sees any difference between the inner and the outer. Only the ego differentiates.

During or following this meditation, you might want to ask your ego some interesting questions. What does your higher self look like? And the lower self? What part does love play? And light? What is the feeling and how can it be remembered for re-creation at any time? Blazing these communication paths (a neuro-net) between your ego and soul helps your conscious and subconscious mind connect and cooperate.

There’s another interesting benefit. Stepping into the soul naturally increases our psychic awareness, since we begin to perceive through the eyes of the soul and what we see is all there is. Of course, the only way to know this for sure is to try it out. Experience is always our finest teacher.

Perhaps you will be as surprised as I was by how quickly stepping into your soul can transform your heart. I tried this technique after learning it from a meditative writing and it’s worked consistently for me and for others. Where I’d been driven by body pain and stress before, in the next moment these virtually vanished and my heart was clear and free. I was able to be more generous and loving to myself and my family.

I slept and dreamt well that night, and upon waking realized that stepping into the soul simply opens the heart and mind to love, and love does the healing. The love is always present. When we face a challenging event, our compassion and need open the heart and turn us to love.

Each of us has the innate ability to reach into the deeper self for wisdom, comfort and healing guidance of any kind. Every person and event in our lives awakens us to this deeper self and higher reality. It is yours for the taking. Just close your eyes and step into your ever loving soul.

Manifesting Your Soul’s Purpose

by Shanta Gabriel –

Dear Ones, The inspiration you seek to manifest your soul’s purpose is available in this New Year as never before. When you discover your inner purpose, a sense of joyous fulfillment pervades all life. In this New Year of 2010, there will be accelerated energy to provide an opportunity for the full expression of your Soul’s Purpose. Your lifetimes have been the preparation for this abundant time of joyous creative activity, within and without.

With a grateful heart, invite the Divine Light to fill your mind and create a sanctuary within your being to receive this guidance. Strengthen the foundations of your life with your pure intention to follow the inner promptings of your soul. Remember to keep balance within and without by giving yourself time to receive love from the deepest sources of your being. This will provide the nourishment you have desired without realizing what it is you have needed all along.

As you nourish yourself from within, you have all the energy, guidance, assistance and clarity you need to take the first step to realization of your soul’s purpose. Don’t expect to have it laid before you in distinct detail, however. It is more likely you will only be given the first step, and when you take that, the next will be revealed, then the next and the next, all in the eternal now. What is long term is your intentional focus to see your life and the world in a new way, as a place of trust. Know that you are profoundly loved and are being guided to fulfillment in your purpose, with joy and gratitude in your daily life. This inner atmosphere builds a strong foundation that attracts new opportunities to your life. The prevailing wisdom of this New Year is to allow the soul to guide your actions so they become filled with Divine purpose.

Empower the Soul

It is empowering to take time to feed your soul and usher into your life more joy and light with your intentional action. The nourishment of quiet moments when your mind can rest and your heart can feel more peaceful are not to be disregarded in these times of heightened energy, with its often nerve jangling cacophony of sounds. When you can treasure your life and your self, it will feel like a new opening occurs in the world around you. Creative ideas will start to flow and in a more resourceful, inspired state of mind, you see new opportunities to take the steps that will promote positive change.

The old limitations of thinking and the structures that held them in place are self-destructing. In fact those very words hold a key insight to new pathways for your life’s work. When you think of old structures, there is a constriction of energy boxing in thoughts and attitudes. Using old methodology becomes a struggle to make things happen. The new more feminine energy of this time requires a letting go of the strangle hold those old structures contain, and a freeing of the inner spirit into new realms of exploration. The best attitude for any new undertaking becomes the child-like mind of wondrous adventure, thus allowing the spirit to soar. When your inner spirit is engaged, your heart feels lighter and this lightness creates an open mind. When your mind is open to new possibilities, opportunities abound and synchronous events become normal. When you are aware of synchronicity, life takes on a new sense of magic, hope and joy.

Creating New Foundations

These states of mind are activated by clear intentions, such as: to have the clarity and opportunity for new work that fulfills your soul’s purpose; to feel more support in your life; and to have a sense of peace and harmony within. Why not allow life to be easier and more graceful? The overwhelm that led to crushing defeat of the compassionate heart has abated. More abundant life will be allowed to transpire, as an evolutionary shift in energy is felt within each person’s being. The desire to serve the greater good will predominate the minds of those who felt lost in the years of material clamor. As more light pervades the earth, loving hearts and minds find new meaning in their lives and open to a prevailing flow of truth that awakens consciousness.

The allowing mind receives guidance that moves you forward into new realms of activity and ideas that spark your imagination to new heights. From these awakened places new creative solutions appear to bring healing to environmental questions and personal situations that have appeared hopeless. As this prevailing mood shifts your inner world the outer world follows suit. It is essential, however, that these soul qualities are set into a strong inner foundation before they can be built upon outside yourself.

Within each person rests the desire and the memory of being in Oneness with all Life; a sense of unity consciousness that is in harmony with divine action in the world. The frustration comes when worldly successes are not enough and more must be achieved to fill a need, when it is the overwhelming inner need to express Divine Consciousness that spurs on the activity. This year people are being empowered to look beyond their personal needs and assist in the anchoring of true abundance on the earth. The truth of abundance is that there is more than enough to create peaceful outcomes when basic needs are provided. When these needs are met and there is a sense of purpose, violence loses its compelling draw. Pray together that all peoples have the food and shelter they require to live life in happiness and peace. Know the Angelic Dimensions have an interest in sustaining the peaceful evolution of earth inhabitants and you can call this energy into your own life.

Sensitive Souls Unite

There are those who have always felt a little out of step with the rest of the world and, it could be said, they were ahead of their times. These sensitive beings have felt the pain and suffering of others and of the planet. Their compassionate hearts have been longing to be useful, though they knew not what to do. These are the ones who will directly feel the benefits of this energetic shift in 2010. They will feel a settling inside as they see the benefit of their prayers, and their struggles begin to ease. These warriors of the light will be able to relax the intensity of their vigilance, and will feel caring assistance that is divine in nature but earthly in manifestation.

As the doors of Heaven have opened to shower them, their souls will feel the impact of loving support and connection with others of like mind. Collaboration and working together will be more prevalent and the dark loneliness begins to abate as soul families are reunited. The burden of carrying the darkness of the world shifts again as many shoulders work together to carry the load. These demonstrations of soul purpose manifesting will be more commonplace as the joy of feeling in harmony with greater purpose is shared.

There also will be many who find themselves in a downward spiral of darkness, and for those souls there also is assistance. It is necessary to raise the eyes beyond the suffering to see the help available and many will choose other paths. All is in readiness for the powerful shift that allows the momentum of a mass awakening that fulfills the desires of the majority rather than the powerful few. There is an expansion of consciousness that has opened many eyes to the opportunities available now for great change to occur.

The evolution of the earth may not take the time that so many imagine is necessary when the hearts and minds of many people are aligned for common good. Maintaining a connection from Heaven to Earth becomes a daily spiritual practice to harmonize your body and bring peace to the heart and mind. As all things are connected to Source energy, it requires discipline to overlook the disharmony and go deeper to the Divine within each person and situation. Withdraw your hate and fear of the status quo. Those feelings only give energy to that which is out of balance. Offer instead your blessings and your sense of peace along with the inner balance gained from following your inspired heart.

Create a foundation of Divine Love, Harmony, Truth and Wisdom within you, and let these qualities of consciousness be the foundation you build on for your life this New Year. Don’t let cynicism and hopeless thinking poison the good works you do when you are following the impulse of your soul in the world.

Recognizing Soul’s Purpose

For some, the purpose of their soul is to be a center of love working on the inner planes to provide balance in the world. For others the impulse is to build a more material refuge or expansive work of a worldly nature. It is within the individual soul to follow the promptings from the Divine Mind, allowing your true nature to develop along patterns that fit your own Divine Blueprint. If the desire is there and the mind is open, your willing heart can receive these impulses that show the way forward in life. Stillness is the requirement for you to stay in harmony with your true nature and be at peace with your self. This leads to the recognition of what the soul is trying to express in the world and what lessons are necessary for its fulfillment.

2010 offers an opportunity for soul’s communion and this gift is readily available to those who become receptive to their higher natures. The intentions of the many aspiring souls seeking peace and harmony will prevail. The Earth shall regain her balance. A balanced heart leads to a balanced life and this knowingness can guide your way. Open to this truth and give yourself time to receive love from the deepest sources within you. Ask to be guided on the path to fulfillment of your soul’s purpose in this New Year. The blessings of God are available for you to achieve this desire now and when your intentions are aligned with others, Divine Light guides your way to the peaceful evolution of the Earth. And so it is. Shanta Gabriel For Archangel Gabriel.

Hidden Souls

by Skye Thomas –

I suppose it’s the nature of the thing that you would feel that you are alone and that nobody else is going through what you are going through. You have worked on yourself, healing, changing, growing, and becoming more enlightened as to the way the game of life is played. The result is that you really don’t feel like playing anymore. No, you aren’t suicidal, but rather you just want to be left alone. You see the world as superficial and fake. You see the people you love self-destructing right before your very eyes and you have tried to help them only to find that your help is not wanted. You have even wrestled with that until you understand that you cannot force others to accept your enlightenment and your wisdom. You cannot force others to accept your views of life, of peace, of balance, of harmony, of personal reflection, and self-accountability. Eventually, like a hermit, you go off to live your simple perfectly balanced beautiful little life alone.

This is not the same as the lost souls who do not know who they are or where they are in life. This is about those souls who know exactly who they are, where they are in life, and have a pretty good idea of where they are heading and what it will look like when they get there. These people have ambition, direction, drive, and often some form of a spiritual calling, a higher ideal, or a humanitarian cause that motivates them to give of themselves to humanity in ways that others cannot understand. These souls hear a small voice whispering to them to go public with their peaceful harmonious ways. But going public is noisy, harsh, rude, prejudiced, and often dangerous for the gentle calm souls. So they hide.

Anger and pain controls a lot of people. It’s a sad fact. We all know someone who still allows their childhood wounds to dictate and control their every decision. We all know of people who are afraid to really open up and love someone else for fear of being rejected and hurt again. Anger is a passionate motivator. People who are really ticked off are seldom docile and quiet about it. Take an angry mob and see how long you can keep them in a peaceful calm quiet logical state. Anger is overwhelming and powerful. It controls and threatens whatever looks like the source of that rage, fear, or pain.

Now look at love and inner peace. By nature, love is not controlling or dominating. It is a light that shines and warms, but it does not push and shove. Take a crowd of people who are all in a loving openhearted peaceful state, like a congregation after listening to a beautiful uplifting sermon, or an audience who has just watched a musician play something amazingly spellbinding that touches their deepest heart. For just a moment, the crowd sits awash in the joyful calm not wanting to break the sacred silence.

The hidden souls are trying to live their lives like that congregation and the truth is, it is hard to hold onto our warm cozy feelings while being cut off in traffic, screamed at by irate customers, and listening to a critic say that we aren’t very good at whatever gift we are trying to offer the world. It’s so much easier for the musician to play alone in his room, the writer journals just for themselves, the artist hides their work away, and the heart does not reach out to new people anymore. These people hide their gentle souls because they want to remain gentle in a world that is harsh and often cruel.

Then that small voice of spirit calls out from the inner sanctuary of our minds telling us we must come forward and share our gifts. “The world needs your gift as much as you need to share it.” Terrified, we wrestle with that guiding voice telling it to leave us alone in our hermit’s nest. It is in that struggle to maintain our loving hearts while confronted with other people’s hatred that we find just how sacred the love in our hearts is.

You were taught how to hold an inner light while held safely away from the chaos and ugliness of the “real world.” You were spiritually healed, taught, and enlightened in your safe sanctuary, but that is just a false world designed for the beginner to learn. Once you have mastered your own heart and mind and have learned how to be a truly beautifully balanced loving soul, then you will be kicked out of the nest and told to go spread that light. Yes, you are different from what appears to be the norm. You won’t know how many others are out there just like you until you come out of your hiding spot and begin to interact on a deep heartfelt level with all of humanity.

You must step into the darkness or nobody will know that you are a shining light, my dear. Yes, I know you are content to simply light up your safe secret little corner of the world. Yes, I know that you no longer have an ego attachment that needs for the world to see you as shining and glorious. You would be perfectly content hiding away in your sanctuary, working, singing, laughing, and loving just the safest people that you have met. However, it’s not for you that you must shine your light into the darkness. It’s for those lost souls who are frightened, broken, and alone. It is so seldom that a Gandhi or a Mother Theresa appears on the scene, that the lost souls do not believe that unconditional love really exists on a day-to-day level. You do not build lighthouses in safe sunny places. You put them on the edge of the shore where the storms are. You are a beacon of light in the storm of humanity. Deal with it, and get to work doing what you were trained to do.
