How to Mentally Clean your Auras

by Lynn Claridge –

How to remove the stresses and strains that everyday life can bring.
There are 7 layers in our auras. When we use meditation and try to ‘clean’ it, we have to clean every layer. Many new age mystics just tell you imagine and visualize a white light coming down and engulfing your auras, this sometimes doesn’t work well. I usually clean every layer as I go along.
To Mentally Clean your Auras start by doing some kind of relaxation procedure like counting 1 to 10 or say to yourself, upstairs, downstairs, over and over again until you feel bored and sleepy or you can get some relaxation music to help you get to alpha or theta brain states.
Once you done that, mentally say to yourself and quote; ‘I am at level 1’ and move your awareness from head to toe or vice versa, the idea is to scan your level 1 for blockages, once you sense ‘something there’ move your awareness to it, it should ‘melt’ or disperse.
If it is still there, try breathing it colors, you have to experiment with the color that will remove the block, repeat the same procedure with all other level, e.g. I am level 2, I am in Level 3…
When you say this, you are telling your mind to adjust to the next level using intent; Intent is the force that changes the level. Sometimes if you are at level 1, and you sense something 1 feel in front of you and you cannot get it off, and you try the usual color breathing method, This could be due to the fact that this blockage is actually at some other level e.g. Level 3 and you can usually remove the block if you move your awareness to level 3.
Sometimes when you move your awareness into the blockages, you get ‘impression’ like a past event or sometimes it plays like a movie in your mind’s eye; this is usually the reason for the block.
The stresses and strains of everyday life can bring with it a variety of emotional health problems. These can include depression, anxiety, insomnia, irritability and panic attacks.

Potential problems and suggested solutions to overcome them

Depression
I am sure that we all become depressed at different times of our life, I certainly do. It is easy to let things and people get us down. We can start to feel sorry for ourselves and to think that the world is working against us.
The brain has two halves, positive and negative. In these periods of depression the negative side assumes control and it can become very hard to get out of this rut.
I see the positive side of my brain as an apple and the negative side as a pear. If I only ever eat pears, I will not be able to experience the joy of eating apples. In short I have to give the positive side a chance to help me to reach a state of happiness and I need to learn to ignore the negative.
Anxiety and panic attacks
At times people start becoming anxious about their future or even about their present situation. This can in certain cases even lead on to panic attacks.
In my opinion worrying does not help the situation, it only makes things worse. I have to say that I do worry and that the cloud of doom does descend over my life at regular intervals. When this occurs I try very hard to break the cycle and I even talk to the demons in my head. I have a battle of wills with them. I tell them that they will not win and that I will not stress anymore. This is not that simple but is what I try to do.
Insomnia
Having trouble with sleeping at night can happen for a number of reasons, the main one of which is stress. Other causes are snoring, an intake of too much caffeine, a noisy environment or depression.
I have written about stress and depression already, it is also time to cut down on the coffee. A simple suggestion in potentially solving insomnia, is to read a book in bed before attempting to get to sleep. This book should help you to get your mind away from any anxieties you may have, it should relax your body and should also tire your eyes.
Irritability
When people lose sleep or work to hard they can become over tired and this can lead to irritability. This can cause people to have a higher pulse rate, making their muscles feel tight and can leave people also feeling anxious and lethargic.
It is important to therefore ensure that you obtain a good amount of hours sleep per night (at least seven) and that you only work a certain amount of hours per week. Money is important to people, however in my opinion health should be the priority.
Solutions to these emotional health problems
I have come to realize that I need to treat myself from time to time. I have always found it difficult to relax and would often feel stressed and under pressure.
I now use various methods at different times of the year to help me to chill out a bit and to reward my body. These include aroma therapy, using herbal products, attending tai chi lessons and I have even tried Yoga. I must admit I could never get to grips with Yoga, however have heard it can prove to be very beneficial to people who can.
Meditation
My favorite form of relaxation is by meditating. I do this by sitting on a straight back chair and by basically concentrating with my eyes closed. I pay particular notice to my breathing and it has certainly helped me to see things in a much clearer way.
In conclusion there are many ways of reducing emotional health problems and with determination you are able to see your way to a better and brighter future. Keep your auras clean and you will have a better healthy life.

One Man’s Wonder

Reclaiming Curiosity in a “Ho-hum” World

From this increasingly sped-up, dumbed-down, 140-character world of quick, shallow experiences and relationships, a new generation of thinkers is emerging. Yearning for substance, hungry for real, first-hand relationships with each other and with Nature, we are beginning to realize that very little of this occurs without our willingness to notice and appreciate things not readily apparent.

One Man’s Wonder is about looking further, paying attention, making time for discovery, celebrating little things, and being open to wonder. Can we reclaim those qualities that illuminate our spiritual essence and make us truly human? I wonder…

When you’re in a crowd, do you ever find yourself fixating on just one of the many strangers you see? This happens to me all the time. I’m at a party, in a restaurant or watching a sporting event. There may be hundreds of people all around me but one of them, of all those anonymous beings, will just absolutely fascinate me.

Does who we are determine what we choose to see or does how we see actually change what is?

Just this morning I was having breakfast with a friend and pointed out a waitress who intrigued me. He didn’t see it and asked me if it was some kind of sexual chemistry I was picking up on. No, it’s not that, I explained but I do think it’s about beauty, albeit seldom the kind you’d see on the surface. Normally, you probably wouldn’t look twice at most of these people. It’s more like fleeting glimpses of something extraordinary I see shining through those otherwise ordinary façades. Most often, it’s just a way of smiling, moving or interacting with other people. Sometimes I picture it as a sort of inner light that radiates from them.
  • There was a kid on my stepson’s little league baseball team. He wasn’t especially big nor good looking. But the way he moved to pick up a ground ball and throw it to first base was so natural, so pure, that I couldn’t stop watching him. He had, at the age of ten, a degree of that intensity and self-assurance you see in some professional athletes—the Michael Jordans, the Derrick Jeters, the Roger Federers. I hoped he’d grow up using that charisma for good.

She had the refinement of old money, but without the damage.

  • A 17- or 18-year-old girl who was sitting in front of me at a children’s piano recital had an unusual radiance. I picked up on it even though I never saw more than the back of her head and an occasional profile. What was it, the way she encouraged her little brother—one of the performers? Or was it was how she looked at, and listened to, her parents, seated on either side of her. It struck me that she had the refinement of old money, but without the damage it so often inflicts. From those few impressions, I felt I could see the kind of life she would lead. And, while a bit disconcerting, I found that inkling, more than anything, reassuring.
  • I was on one of those “chicken buses” in rural Guerrero, Mexico. A heavy-set, plain-faced, 30-something woman got on at Los Achotes and sat across from me. Something about her just caught my eye. Maybe it was just the careful manner of her dress. But the more I looked—trying not to be too creepy—the more I could tell that her surface beauty went deep. I could see it in her posture and in her eyes. I’m sure this woman had experienced her share of the unrelenting challenges facing most poor Mexican women. It wasn’t just that she wore that abrasion well; somehow she’d managed to gild it—she shone that brightly.
Impressions like these visit me almost every day. A skeptic might say they derive, not from the people I’m looking at but from some need I have to see them that way. But does it make any difference? Does who we are determine what we choose to see, or does how we see actually change what is? Or could both be true? What do you think? I’d love to hear your comments!

Energize Your Self

by Gini Grey –

Have you ever walked into a room and felt the energy in it? Sensed and felt the silence and somberness of a library, the buzz and effervescence of a concert, or the love and joy at a wedding ceremony? In the 60’s and 70’s they called it the ‘vibe’ and now it’s referred to as energy, but it’s all the same thing; waves of energy particles that vibrate at certain frequencies. And it’s not just in the locations we enter; it’s within us as well. We are each filled with energy which is affected by the foods we eat, thoughts we think and emotions we feel. The higher our bodies vibrate, the healthier we are. Therefore having uplifting thoughts and emotions supports our overall mood and health.

Notice how you feel when you focus on problems in your life or judgments of other people or situations. Now reflect on all the things you are grateful for in your life. Think of as many things as you can and notice how you feel. Those thoughts have their own vibrations which affect your body’s emotions which contribute to your overall flow of energy. When your energy is flowing with ease and lightness everything within you matches that. Imagine how healthy you would be living your life from this place. And because like attracts like, imagine how many wonderful things you would attract into your life from this energized state.

At our true essence as spiritual beings we are naturally in a state of ease, lightness and amusement. This gets clouded over by our analytical minds and emotional bodies. When we forget who we really are we let our analyzers run the show and allow our bodies to over react. This can lead to complicated thoughts, judgments, and heavy emotions. Yet when we reconnect to our true self and operate from this higher place of wisdom and neutrality, we can easily redirect our thoughts, clear our emotions and shift our energy. It’s amazing how quickly and easily we can do this when we are centered in our spiritual selves. Experience this now by playing with the following spiritual energy tools.

SPIRITUAL ENERGY TOOLS

Centering: Bring all of your awareness into the center of your head, back a couple of inches behind your forehead. Notice the still peaceful quality there. Now move all of your awareness into the front of your forehead. This is often where we are concentrated when thinking and planning. Losing ourselves in this space can feel busy and complicated. Move back to the center of your head and find yourself there. By being in the center of our heads we are more aware of ourselves as spirit and can access our neutrality and truth. From this place we can choose to use our analyzers rather than letting them run us. We can also communicate with our bodies and be aware of our emotions rather than becoming them. Notice how you view yourself, others and life from this centered space.

Grounding: Become aware of an energy connection between your body and the center of the planet. Feel this connection flow from the base of your spine all the way down to the center of planet and allow it to be as wide as your hips. Being grounded supports you in being more present in your body, having an appropriate level of energy, and allows you to release any problems or foreign energy down your grounding.

Aura: Your energy space doesn’t just end at your skin. Surrounding your body is an electromagnetic field of energy which is what you see through and are seen through. By owning this space and being aware of the edges of your aura you develop clearer boundaries. This supports you in having more of your energy in your space instead of spreading it out, depleting it. It also prevents others from moving their energy and emotions into your space. Play with expanding and contracting the size of your aura as a way to get a feel for it. Generally, having your aura about an arms length away from your body, in front, behind, beside, above and below will support you in owning this space for yourself.

Have Your Energy: Your energy often gets left with the people, projects and situations you have been focusing on throughout the day. To bring it back into your space you can create an image of a gold sun five or six feet above your head and imagine it’s like a magnet calling all of your energy into it. Then bring it down through the top of your aura and into your body releasing all of your energy back into your own space. You will feel more refreshed and replenished having your energy with you.

Shift Your Energy: Become aware of yourself as a spirit in the center of your head and play with shifting your energy from this place. Tune into your state of ease and lightness as a spiritual being, then say hello to your body and notice how it feels. If your body is feeling heavier than this, set your intention to have your body match your lighter state. Here are a few exercises to support you in doing this. Imagine having an amusement dial which you can turn on and turn up the volume. Allow this vibration of amusement to fill all the cells in your body. Create a dot of clear gold in the center of your head and let it fill your whole head and then your whole body. Become aware of the vibration of pure love and let this energy flow throughout your whole body.

The more we operate through our spiritual awareness the more easily we can shift our energy and create a healthy life. As the saying goes, we are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience. It’s up to us to decide who’s in charge; our spiritual self or our analyzers and bodies. From there we create our own reality day by day, moment to moment.

The Aura: Your Energy Skin

aura

by Francesca McCartney, PhD –

Most people do not realize that they have a second skin — an energy skin that protects and shields their energy system just as physical skin protects their inner organs.

Imagine having no skin. What would happen? All your organs would spill out onto the ground. Your veins and arteries would sag and bulge. You would be defenseless against dirt, germs, and viruses. And, perhaps worst of all, you would look pretty frightening! Your skin is a highly efficient protective layer between you and the external world. It holds all of your organs in place, it shields you, and it filters out foreign matter that could be dangerous or irritating to your inner organs.

Like physical skin, the aura is permeated with natural disease-fighting chemistry, and it hosts the sensory communications of the nervous system. This second skin is the boundary between your personal energy system and the energy of your environment; an illuminated wrap of life-force medicine; and a subtle nervous system receiving and sending energy messages. This energy skin is your aura. Every living being has an aura.

The human aura field is distributed around the body like an ovoid, spherical, or egg-shaped cocoon of energy. Clairvoyantly, it appears as a shape with different qualities in different places. You may see the boundary as diffuse, well defined, smooth, or jagged. You can perceive the aura clairvoyantly as color, brightness, darkness, shape, and density. You can hear the aura clairaudiently as tone, sound, music, frequency, and vibration. You can feel the aura using biotelemetry (The detection and measurement of a human or animal condition, activity, or function such as the heartbeat or body temperature) and psychometry (temperature changes, pulsation, tingling, pressure, or magnetism).

When you are feeling healthy, self-confident, calm, and grounded, your aura is healthy as well. A healthy aura is indicated by a cocoon of energy surrounding and extending out from the body at least 1 foot in all directions. This positive protection field is composed of bright colors, strong vibrations, pure tones, and a full, smooth, egg-shaped boundary. When you are sick, depressed, sad, or unsure of yourself, your aura is close to your body. The colors are most likely to be dull, murky, and dark. The frequency is slow and erratic. There may be breaks or tears in the boundary. And the shape could be bumpy and distorted. All of these indicate that your aura is not serving as a positive protection field between you and the energy of others and your environment.

An unprotective aura can be a cause of illness and distress for sensitive people. Without the natural filtering system of a positive protection field surrounding your body, you are open to environmental influences. The frequency of different energies can coexist and overlap nondestructively in the same space; take, for example, radio and television frequencies. Much of the energy in your environment — mental, physical, and emotional — may be positive, but much of it is negative.

aura

An Early-Warning System

Your aura is a multi-operational energy field. The aura also acts as a reception and relay network for subtle energies. It delivers energy messages to the chakra system, which translates them into hormonal, nerve, and cellular activity in the physical body. In general, the aura tends to hold present (rather than past) thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and interactions between yourself and your environment. As the world first interconnects with your auric field, the freshest impressions, communications, and intuitive hits are woven into it. As an early-warning system, your aura also detects energy disturbance not yet manifested. This aspect of the aura’s function is a preview of the future that can be utilized as a preventive tool.

Disease in the physical, emotional, or mental body is often preceded by a disturbance in the aura, or, if it originates within the physical body, it registers in the aura at the same time or oftentimes before it manifests in a person’s conscious mind or physical body. When I practiced as a medical intuitive, I had a patient in the medical clinic who was in good health and having her annual health checkup. The clinic doctor asked me to energetically scan her, and I picked up a reproductive-system problem in her aura. None of the medical tests confirmed my scan. Three weeks later she returned to the clinic because of uterine hemorrhaging. Your aura is an early-warning system for disease. By paying attention to such forewarnings, you can take preventive healing action, whether it is medical, psychological, or energetic.

A grounded aura allows you to sense when energy is being directed at you from near or far, and gives you the choice to accept it or cleanse it out of your space. This puts people and situations at a healthy distance from you, thus allowing them less power to unbalance you. With a grounded aura, you will feel safer and more secure, and the quality of all your grounding anchor points will improve. Your aura, when functioning effectively, acts as a lightning rod for negative energy or thoughts that enter your space. If your aura is not protecting you well, you might be hit by someone’s unhealthy energy transference, or you might feel that you are being verbally attacked when someone is simply transmitting information. With a grounded aura, these undesirable intrusions into your system will be intercepted at the outer edge of your aura and automatically grounded out of your personal field and down into the earth. With practice, your aura will become an autonomic system of protection.

Aura

Positive Protection

A highly healthy aura nourishes us with a constant circulation of life-force energy. It also protects us, because high-energy fields disintegrate energy that enters from lower-energy fields.

In order for your aura to act as positive protection it must be in a whole and healthy state of coherence. When your aura is filled with life force, others will show respect for your boundaries. With your intuition you can sense and heal aberrations in the field of your aura. With intention and affirmation, you can quickly revive the potent vitality of your aura’s protective qualities. You need not be in quiet meditation to practice aura sensing and healing.

When you leave your home, the best health initiative is to walk into the outside world with a grounded, vibrant aura. Physical, mental, or emotional abuse of any kind — real or imagined; from within yourself or from your environment — can affect all of your subtle-energy systems when you are not being conscious. At times, your positive intentions may be pushed out of focus, and you may find yourself unprotected and affected by chaos from the world or ill intentions from other people. These are the times to be energetically proactive. Immediately scan your aura for aberrant patterns — energies that are not yours or attached themselves to your auric field and are operating below your level of positive intention.

The following story illustrates how to actively work with your aura in daily life. It comes from a twenty-five-year-old corporate secretary who is a highly clairsentient (acutely developed sense of empathy) and has practiced aura healing for one-year. She had difficulty with a boss who constantly intimidated her; she felt his energy pushing out her own feelings and thoughts, leaving her speechless and vulnerable in his presence. She described this situation as a “violation of boundaries,” but she has now learned to use her aura as positive protection during these episodes.

The biggest aura revelation for me was discovering that the ways in which I had always tried to protect myself (being defensive, withdrawn, shut down, and angry) were energy drains in and of themselves, and that my boss was still able to “get in” and drain my energy. The discovery of being grounded, being aware of my auric field, keeping my auric field grounded, and having healthy energy circulating through my aura literally changed my experience of life. Now I truly feel safe and protected, and I am almost immediately aware when someone or something is trying to violate my boundaries — or if I’m ungrounded, energetically unprotected, or vulnerable. I feel like a different person than I was a year ago.

aura

Try This!

• Have you ever been in a roomful of people and seen a person walk in and all heads turn to look at him or her? I see this as a manifestation of the person’s aura filling up the room, reaching out and touching people like an energy handshake. Others call this charisma. If you would like to bring attention to yourself during a speech, in a group, or for whatever reason, try this with your aura: Fill your aura with bright colors and expand your auric field into a large cocoon around your body. Experiment first at home to find out how much you can expand your aura and which size is comfortable for you. Some people can fill an entire room with their aura and feel comfortable and grounded, while others become scattered when their auras are expansive. Notice how others react to you when you practice this fun experiment.

I hope that this article has given you insights into your own aura and how you can use your auric field as a protective skin, and a passport to walking through the world with ease and grace.

Try This!

Have you ever been in a roomful of people and seen a person walk in and all heads turn to look at him or her?

Energy Work Techniques

Clearing the chakras is a very important way to stay healthy and in balance. Here’s how to clear your chakras, through color healing. You sit down each day for perhaps 15 minutes, in a quiet space, with eyes closed, sit quietly in prayer or meditation, breathing slowly and deeply until you are very calm and relaxed. When you are relaxed, beginning at the base of your spine, at the tailbone, you visualize a beautiful, glowing, fire-engine red light filling up that area. You ask with each chakra that it be restored 100% to perfect health, form, and functioning – that whatever needs to be restored, be restored, and whatever needs to be corrected, be corrected.

Then you move up the body and visualize a beautiful orange light at your reproductive area. Then, moving up the body, see a bright yellow light at the navel area. Remember, as you do this, you also ask silently that each area you are visualizing be cleared and brought back to perfect health and functioning. Then you move up to the heart and visualize a glowing green light there – emerald green. Then on up to the throat, where you clear that area by seeing a beautiful sky blue light. Then up to the brow, where you see a glowing indigo light. Then to the crown of the head, where you see a beautiful violet light. Even if you are not adept at being visual or seeing these colors, just by saying to yourself that that color is there, it will begin to work for you.

To finish, surround yourself with a beautiful, glowing white light, and see it totally filling you up from head to toe as well. There are actually minor chakras (light intersection points or energy vortexes) in the body as well, besides the above-mentioned main ones – 144 to be exact – and what I do with them is simply ask that they all be lit up with white light, sort of imagining myself like a bright starry sky or a lit up Christmas tree.

This will help immensely to get you back in balance. For your rational mind, here is the analogy: we are made of light, we are electrical frequencies, as physics will tell us, and just as the light spectrum has different frequencies which create different colors, depending on the speed of their vibration, red being the slowest and violet the fastest vibrational frequency, we too have different wavelengths in our bodies that vibrate at varying frequencies and correlate to the light spectrum. Caroline Myss, one of the great clairvoyant, intuitive healers of our time has a wonderful, inspiring and fascinating book out called ‘Anatomy of the Spirit'[1], that goes into a profound explanation of the chakras and what we are dealing with in each one.

Ever wonder why people are so enthralled with, mesmerized by, and love rainbows? It is because we are, ourselves, in effect, a rainbow. We somehow know that, and seeing one resonates deep within us with awe and joy, and reminds us of our Divine nature. We are a spectrum of light with different frequencies vibrating within us. Each frequency corresponds to a different level of conscious development, beginning with red, our roots, our family, our tribe of origin, up to violet and white light, which is higher spiritual thought, awareness, and communion with the Divine. By keeping your chakras clear, you will become a more harmonious person, and you will be much clearer, more able to incorporate and generate the higher awareness of peace, love, and joy from within you.

Sometimes the traumas of life cause a hole in your aura, the energy field around your body, that needs to be repaired. Here’s how you do that: Stand with your arms upraised at a 60 degree angle each from the body, with fingers closed, thumbs out. Hold for one minute. You can also accompany this with what is called the Breath of Fire. This is a very fast, non-stopping breath, through the nose, in and out as fast as you can. It’s important not to do this breath too long to start with, as it is very powerful and you can get very woozy or pass out if you do it too much. So, start with it a bit at a time as you do this exercise until you can do it for a full minute. It is a deeply purifying breath and creates a fiery energy in the body. Make sure you drink a lot of water afterwards all day. I would suggest that you do this twice a day for 6 days.
